iPhone 3G, no line wait easy as pie

I had breakfast at IHOP with my daughter.  Afterwards we stopped by the ATT store to see how bad it was.  The place was busy but there was no line.  I wasn’t really planning on buying an iPhone 3g and we went to play with the iPhone 3g display models.  It does feel amazing good in your hands.  (I have had several Windows Mobile cellphones, and while they could do cool things they never, ever felt good in your hands).  While we were playing with the phones one of the managers asked me if I needed anything, nah.. we are just looking, but I did ask if they actually had any iPhones in stock since the place seemed a little slow.  He said they have just barely gotten some in a few minutes ago.  I turned around and someone must have told because the store was suddenly packed with about 40-50 people behind me.  Here I am just playing with the phone with zero plans to buy one and 50 people behind me chompin’ at the bit for a chance to be near the thing…  I figured.  Sure I’ll buy the white 16g one.  If I don’t like it, I can take it back in a few days and only have to pay 10% restocking.  I’ll pay $30ish to try it for a week or so.

I kept my current phone since it does video and WAY better GPS and has lots more Bluetooth features enabled and live TV and so on…  All pics were taken with my Sanyo M1  (videos too)

This is Dave checking me out.  (Or processing my purchase– however you want to say it)

And this video contains me on a VERY BAD HAIR DAY telling you how to get an iPhone 3g with no wait in line.

It should be noted that as I was shooting these videos with my other Cell Phone, Dave stopped trying to tell me that the iPhone was better then air :)   Ok ok.. he never really said that, but like I said.. the iPhone is really close, but not quite there yet…

I am off to develop a few apps for it and see how that goes.
